We use time-intensive, traditional techniques.
The result is a surface with depth, character, and subtle variation—never flat, never identical. These nuanced details bring warmth and dimension to a space, and make each piece feel considered, collected, and truly one of a kind.
Aged brass
Our Aged Brass is a patination process that we have developed to replicate brass that is 5+ years old. The metal is burnished, oxidized, buffed, and then waxed, all by hand, to create a piece that has incredible dimension and depth. The metal is waxed, but not lacquered, resulting in a living finish that will continue to gently deepen with time and touch.

Brushed Brass
The signature of our Brushed Brass is linear or concentric rings, resulting in a finish with remarkable depth and luster. We finish our Brushed Brass with a layer of microcrystalline wax, which allows the brass to gently deepen with time.
Polished Unlacquered Brass
Internally we call this finish "P&T," meaning polished and tarnished. This is a warm and relaxed finish that replicates polished brass that is a few years old.
This finish is achieved by hand-polishing our pieces to a mirror shine, and then tarnishing the metal using a mixture of sawdust, peet, red-wine vinegar, and sea salt. The metal is left entirely uncoated for a living finish that will continue to deepen with age.

Studio brass
If you like to feel the "hand" of the artisan, then 'studio' brass may be the choice for you. Entirely untreated, you may see blemishes and evidence of the formation process that would otherwise be removed in the finishing process.
Our studio brass is not lacquered or waxed, meaning that this is a living finish.
Verdigris
Our Verdigris finish is accomplished by an artisan over the course of four days. Developed over solid brass or copper, this finish has layers of black, ocean blue, and hints of celery green.
This process is incredibly organic, impacted by subtle variations in temperature and humidity, meaning each piece is a unique work of art.

Polished nickel
A design classic, polished nickel is a plated finish applied to a base metal of brass or steel. Nickel is ever so slightly warmer in color than chrome, and it has a lovely mirror polish.
Our polished nickel will not oxidize, however you may notice a subtle deepening of the tone with age.
